COVID Resident & Staff Reporting Requirements

Since the COVID-19 pandemic, SNFs are subject to an increasing number of COVID-19 reporting requirements. This policy incorporates CMS reporting requirements and, when existent, applicable definitions.

However, as you are likely already painfully aware, exactly what and how to report remains a moving target. This is due to how the federal requirements are drafted and the rapidly changing COVID-19 guidance from CDC and CMS. We address uncertainty in this policy by inserting language taken directly from the applicable requirement and by providing footnote commentary.
